Adult
March of the Living
Join us on January 30, 2003 at 7:30pm for an informational meeting
about a special adult version of the March of the Living. Hear
about this life changing experience from community scholar Rivy
Poupko Kletenik and past participants. An international educational
program that typically brings Jewish teens from around the world
to Poland on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, to march from
Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex
built during WW II. Participants then go to Israel to observe
Yom Hazikaron and Yom Haatzmaut (Israel's Memorial Day and Independence
Day).

Six
Seattle Students will Join Alexander Muss High School in Israel
in February
The students will be exposed to
a unique combination of hands-on visits to historic and archeological
sites coupled with in-depth analysis of written history in
this popular 8-week program. Yossi Katz, who was a scholar
in residence for our community last year, will be one of the
teachers for this session.
Through the program, students will gain a broader view of
the world and develop a new relationship of history, international
relations, geography and literature, all the while preparing
for the academic rigors of college.
We are so proud of these students and wish them well!
