New Jewish Federation Advocacy Document
"Partners in Caring for Our Community
- Government and Jewish Agencies Working Together," is delivered to Washington State legislators prior to the legislative session. The document describes our beneficiary agency priorities in the areas of children, youth and families, adults, seniors, and human rights. Connections 2003
This year, the Women’s Division of the Jewish Federation announced exciting new plans for Connections 2003, the largest annual gathering of Jewish women in the Greater Seattle area. The Cuban Jewish Renaissance
Although only 90 miles from the United States, Cuba’s Jewish community had been physically cut off from the rest of the Jewish world since 1959.  Only when the Cuban people were granted new religious freedoms in 1992 was JDC able to return to the island, giving Cuban Jews the first opportunity to explore their Jewish heritage in over three decades. Kline Galland Center to Receive New Van
The Jewish Federation Board of Directors has approved the recommendation from the Capital Needs and Planning & Allocations Committees to make a grant of $25,000 to the Kline Galland Center towards the purchase of a new van for their residents at both the home and the Summit, along with those attending the Day Center Program.
